Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets
Best for JB’s slow-grown, pasture-raised Boneless/Skinless Chicken Thighs
These Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets are a crowd favorite at parties for all ages — and chicken thighs stay juicy, flavorful, and tender while the air fryer gives them that crispy golden coating without deep frying!
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 cup flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Cooking spray or oil spray
Step 1: Prep the Chicken
Trim excess fat from the chicken thighs and cut them into bite-sized nugget pieces. Try to keep them roughly the same size so they cook evenly.
Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station
Use three shallow bowls:
Bowl 1: Flour
Bowl 2: Eggs + milk, whisked together
Bowl 3: Panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
Step 3: Bread the Nuggets
Dip each piece of chicken:
Into the flour
Into the egg mixture
Into the seasoned breadcrumb mixture
Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken so the coating sticks well.
Step 4: Air Fry Until Crispy
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
Place the nuggets in a single layer in the basket. Don’t overcrowd them — cook in batches if needed.
Lightly spray the tops with cooking oil.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes total, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
