My
Story
Spending much of my childhood at my grandparents’ cattle farm instilled a respect and understanding for the important work that farmers do. If I wasn’t at grandma’s, I was at home taking care of the myriad of pets we had due to my family’s love of animals and parents who just couldn’t say no to another goat, chicken, duck, rabbit, etc…
I founded JB’s Pastured Produce in 2024 because I wanted to have a greater impact in my community, and to reconnect with the little me that loved country life.
So after years of apartment living, dreaming and planning for “maybe one day” when I’d have a farm of my own, I decided to get serious about pursuing those dreams.
Starting with just one step at a time, and with the love and support from my partner and family, I am grateful to have this opportunity to serve my community while doing something that I love!

Meet the Team
Executive Ranch Hand Bob
My dad, and huge part of why JB’s was able to become a reality… ERHB said yes when I asked to use his land and that kick started everything it has become. Cut to – 100s of brainstorm sessions, endless build (and re-build) projects, time, blood, sweat, and just about anything else I need assistance with.
Sheri
Sheri is responsible for pick-ups at Menards, making sure we are hydrated and encouraged on long project days, documenting the big moments, and so much more… she is the silent worker that plays an important role in my success.
Travis
My life partner and often keeper of my sanity… Travis encourages me when I feel defeated, assists with daily chores, and picks up the slack at home when I need to stay focused on the farm. With zero farming experience — he has continued to step out of his comfort zone to help with anything I need.
Runty
Farm mascot, and my nemesis — Runty came from my first batch as a chick that just didn’t seem to grow. Then he started jumping onto my shoulder during morning chores to escape the big birds in his flock… so I caved and he did not join the rest of his batch at the processor.
He grew up (a lot) and now his ultimate goal is to make me regret that decision every single day. He takes his job of protecting our flock of egg layers very seriously, most often against me, and I risk my life to collect those eggs everyday. But we love him and he has been valuable in many ways to our farm.
Pepper
Pepper is the face of JB’s Pastured Produce: Treats for Dogs, my canine soul mate, and was my first puppy as an adult. She has been here through all phases of building the farm, and my cuddle buddy at the end of long work days… or she’s demanding attention and playtime when I finish farm work at 10pm.
